This Week in Salesforce Newsletter – Week 1 – 2018

I hope your New Year is off to a great start. I am starting a weekly newsletter related to all things Salesforce, along with recent updates that I have made to my courses, new educational resources I am providing, and more. As a student of one of my courses, I thought you might find this information helpful in your own Salesforce learning journey.

Mike Wheeler Media YouTube Channel
I am continually adding new content to the Mike Wheeler Media YouTube channel. You’ll find many of these new videos detailed below. To keep up to date and be alerted as soon as I post new Salesforce educational material to YouTube, be sure to subscribe to my channel!

Service Cloud Console Tutorial
I am almost done recording my Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant Course. You can view the course outline here. Here is a video lecture from it, dealing with Creating Custom Service Console Components that you may find of interest. I recorded this video when I had a cold, so my voice sounds really deep.

4 New Certification Test Sample Question Videos
I have also added 4 new videos to the Complete Salesforce Administrator Certification Course and have also made these videos available on YouTube as well! In these videos. These can be found in Section 16 of the Admin course, and for sake of ease, I have embedded the videos below.

I walk you through the sample test questions found in the Salesforce Certified Administrator Exam Guide. I discuss how to approach the wording of test questions as well, which tend to trip people up with their wordiness and scenario driven nature.

Building an App in 10 Minutes
I decided recently that I would see how quickly I could build a working app in Salesforce. I recorded my efforts in this short video where I am able to create a Mileage Tracker app that works in Salesforce Lightning and because it is a Salesforce app, also works out of the box on a mobile device via the Salesforce mobile app. Check out Creating an App in Salesforce is Stupid Awesome Easy and Lightning Fast.
